Privacy Policy
Last updated: 22 October 2026
This policy explains how Soft Skills Connect (the “app”) handles personal data. The app is a content creation and social media publishing tool used by Soft Skills Store, an online shop on Etsy.
1. Who is responsible
The data controller is Ihor, the owner of Soft Skills Store, a sole trader based in Italy. For any question about your data, write to softskillsstore2026@gmail.com.
2. What data the app processes
- App account: email address, name, password hash (the password itself is never stored) or Google account identifier, sign-up and sign-in dates.
- Shop data: product listings from connected shops (title, description, photos, price, tags).
- Content: uploaded and generated images, videos and captions, publishing schedules, campaigns and a log of AI provider costs.
- Connected accounts: access tokens and identifiers of the shops and social media accounts you connect, stored encrypted (AES-256-GCM).
- Technical data: sign-in sessions and server logs. IP addresses are kept only briefly in memory to limit sign-in attempts and are not stored in the database.
3. Data received from Facebook and Instagram
When you connect a Facebook Page or an Instagram professional account through Facebook Login, the app receives only what is needed to publish content you have prepared:
- your Facebook user ID and name;
- the list of Pages you manage, with their IDs, names and Page access tokens;
- the ID and username of the Instagram business account linked to the Page;
- IDs of posts the app publishes, and basic engagement figures for those posts (such as likes and comments counts).
This data is used only to publish posts that you created and scheduled in the app, and to show you their status and results. It is not sold, not used for advertising or profiling, and not shared with anyone except Meta itself when the app makes a request on your behalf. Access tokens are stored encrypted. The app follows the Meta Platform Terms.
4. Why the data is processed
To provide the app’s features you use (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and to keep the app secure against abuse (legitimate interest, Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Emails sent by the app are transactional only, such as address confirmation and password reset. There are no ads, no marketing profiles and no sale of data.
5. Who receives data
Only services that a feature needs in order to work:
- Social networks and shops you connect (Meta, Pinterest, TikTok, Etsy, Google and others), within the permissions you grant.
- AI providers (OpenAI, Anthropic, Google Gemini, Higgsfield, Comfy), only when you use AI generation: product descriptions, selected photos and instructions are sent to create content.
- Cloudflare, for network security and for storing media files that social networks download when a post is published.
- Brevo, for sending transactional emails.
Some of these companies are located outside the EU, mainly in the United States. Transfers rely on GDPR mechanisms such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or the provider’s standard contractual clauses.
6. How long data is kept
For as long as the account or connection exists. When you disconnect a social media account, its tokens are deleted. When you delete your app account, all your data and files are deleted. Copies may remain in backups until they are overwritten.
7. How to delete your data
You can delete your data at any time in any of these ways:
- Remove the app from Facebook. Go to Facebook Settings, open “Apps and websites”, select “Soft Skills Connect” and choose Remove. This revokes the app’s access immediately.
- Disconnect inside the app. On the “Channels & accounts” page, disconnect Facebook or Instagram. The stored tokens and account identifiers are deleted.
- Delete your app account in Settings → Account → Delete account. All your data is removed.
- Ask by email. Write to softskillsstore2026@gmail.com with the subject “Data deletion request” and the Facebook or Instagram account name. We will delete your data within 30 days and confirm by email.
More details: Data deletion instructions.
8. Cookies
Only strictly necessary cookies: the sign-in session cookie and a short-lived cookie during Google sign-in. No analytics or advertising cookies.
9. Your rights
Under the GDPR you can request access to your data, a copy of it, correction, deletion, restriction of processing, or object to processing. Write to softskillsstore2026@gmail.com. You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your data protection authority; in Italy this is the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
10. Children
The app is not intended for people under 16.
11. Changes
If this policy changes significantly, the update will be announced in the app. The date at the top shows the latest version.
